Andy began his career when he left school in 1978 where he joined a sign firm, learning letter forms and layout whilst painting and engraving signs. He then joined the army in the parachute regiment, but after breaking both legs, was discharged on medical grounds.

He returned to sign writing and set up his own business in 1985 where he began sign writing vans, shops and business signs. It was then when he was approached to paint his first narrow boat, and the rest is history.

Andy's unique experience has given him equal skill in both sign writing and boat painting and his dedication to quality sees him using the finest, industry recognised paints to assure a superlative finish on all projects.
